Investment Objective

A high level of current income and long-term growth of capital consistent with reasonable risk to capital.

The team seeks to combine the compounding effects of income and stock appreciation to target attractive risk-adjusted returns across cycles. The team targets the shares of durable businesses with the ability to grow shareholder dividends while trading at reasonable valuations.

  • Domestic large cap stocks with yields at or above S&P 500 Index

  • Russell 1000 Value

Operating Target

  • Typically 40-60 holdings

Limiting Exposure:

  • Maximum position size 5% of portfolio
  • Cash positions minimal (typically <2%)

The S&P 500 Index consists of 500 widely held common stocks. This unmanaged index is a total return index with dividends reinvested. The Index is unmanaged.

The Russell 1000 Value Index is an unmanaged, market value weighted index, which measures the performance of those 1,000 largest companies in the Russell 3000 Index with lower price-to-book ratios and lower forecasted growth values. The Index is unmanaged.
