Stephen J. Mahoney is a Portfolio Manager in Taxable Fixed Income for Glenmede Investment Management LP (GIM). He is primarily responsible for management of taxable fixed income portfolios for institutions, endowments and foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Mr. Mahoney is the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Glenmede Core Fixed Income Fund, the Intermediate Government/Credit Strategy and the Enhanced Cash strategy, which he manages with a combination of sector rotation and curve exposure strategies. He is also a member of Glenmede’s Technology Committee and Investment Policy Committee which makes firm-wide portfolio asset allocation decisions.

Mr. Mahoney joined The Glenmede Trust Company, N.A., (GTC) in 1999 to contribute his specialized knowledge of fixed income trading and portfolio management to GTC’s institutional, taxable fixed income portfolios.

Prior to joining GTC, Mr. Mahoney was a fixed income portfolio manager with 1838 Investment Advisors. Before that, he spent ten years with The Vanguard Group’s fixed income trading desk. Throughout his career, Mr. Mahoney has managed an assortment of fixed income securities, including money market instruments, U.S. Treasuries, corporate and agency securities and derivative products.

A resident of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, Mr. Mahoney received an M.B.A. in finance from Saint Joseph’s University. He was the recipient of The Financial Executives Institute Award at commencement at Widener University, where he earned a B.S. with academic honors in finance. Along with numerous NASD series licenses, he is a member of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia and the CFA Institute.
